You have likely heard the horror stories of people who hired a bad contractor and struggled to get their home fixed properly, but that doesn’t have to be your story.

If you ask your roofing contractor the following five questions and listen thoroughly to their answer you can avoid the bad ones before you even give them the job.

Remember, your contractor is working for you and you have the right to ask for this information! Any roofing contractor not willing to answer the questions may have something to hide.

1. How long have you been in business?

You want to hire a roofing contractor that has been in business for many years; preferably many decades. This shows that they have a lot experience and knowledge in the field and are competent when it comes to roofing projects.

In the early spring, the cooler months, that is when I get my spinach, radishes and lettuce in the ground. Within a month or so I have fresh vegetables ready to be harvested. The only problem is once I pick those vegetables it leaves me empty space.

Succession cropping is the process by which you plant something new, typically a warmer weather plant, into the area vacated by a cooler weather plant like those mentioned above.

When you properly plan out in advance your succession cropping you can easily three crops from the same area. For example, in the spring you plant your lettuce, then the weather warms up, spinach is done so you replace it with squash or tomatoes. As the hot summer months come to a close and it gets cooler again, you can put the spinach back in and get some more.

The possibilities are endless in regards to the combination of vegetables that you can plan out.

Humus is something that is produced when making organic compost. It is an organic substance that can be made at home to help with any soil problems. Humus can help with ph balancing of the soil and help if the soil is a bit too sandy. Humus is not difficult to make and I would suggest starting as soon as you know you want to start organic rose gardening. You would then take the humus and mix it in with your soil.
